i am looking to put some minor high performance parts into my car. i have it about 6 months and have not done any modifications yet. I was wondering what you peoples suggest. Maybe bigger air flow sensor housing, k&n fiter and possibly a chip. I have 98 LSC. Thanks for your help

Your suggestions are more tuning than "high performance," unless you're a ricer. Just tell us how much money you have and we'll go from there. The intake parts wouldn't add any performance (assuming the rest is stock), but they may look cool under the hood. The chip is cool. It will make your tranny shift a little firmer which enhances driving feel, unless you're an old man. It will also remove your limiter and help you kill yourself faster.

Check out Lincoln Motorsport at www.Lincolnmotorsport.com and also check out SuperCoupe Performance at www.supercouperformance.com for all your Mark VIII needs.

Also check out Baumann Engineering for a shift kit for that trans. Gives you nice firm shifts to help the longevity to your transmission and they are only around $90. Prolly one of the best things to do since you just got it, get that trans flushed and put in Mercon V transmission fluid along with installing that shift kit. You'll be thanking yourself later.

Those two sites will give you plenty of eye candy for a while and will keep your bank account very busy. The only downside to these cars, is that there is little aftermarket performance products for these cars, so your going to be looking at some steep costs on some parts.

Good luck with your '98. I, myself, am looking into getting a 98' LSC before this summer. Right now I own a '95, check out my photo garage for pics.

Have a good one and welcome to

Shift kit, exhaust, chip and maybe a maf if you're interested in all the trouble that comes with them. Id recommend exhaust and a chip first.
