00-02 Lincoln LSE Body Kits FYI

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: GrayGhost1

I have some bad news on the 00-02 Lincoln LSE Body Kits that LSK has been selling. I am completely sold out of these kits until late May or early June. I knew this day was coming but the manufacturer of the kits will not begin tool up for these kits until mid-April. This is their busy season until the first of April. They make OEM front and rear fascias for Ford, GM and Chrysler. They will not break production to make these kits so that leaves us waiting.

I had approximately 5 LSE body kits left at the beginning of December and the last one sold last week. I apologize for this inconvenience but we are at the mercy of the manufacturer. Once these kits are available again there may be some changes the bundled kit pieces and pricing may be different. I don't know if it will be more at this point but we will work pricing the best we can.

If you have any questions about this let me know.

Are you going to change the design? If so think about getting rid of the front bumper turn signals???

Posted by: GrayGhost1

The only thing that may change is what comes with the kit. We may drop the aftermarket fog lights from the kit. As for the body kit itself it will remain the same. We are working with another company to introduce a completely different body kit other than the LSE, Wings West and Razzi kits. This will be an LSK exclusive but it is a ways away from being sold at this point.

hey Ken, make a kit that keeps the chrome on the front bumper... because thats the only thing that kept me away from buying an LSE kit... i like my chrome

This kit will be able to fit all 2000-2006 Lincoln LS's and will use the existing bumper so you can keep your chrome strip.

For the people who have a say in how this "new" body kit looks: Please do a full bumper cover replacement frontand rear and not just an add on the exsiting bumper.

Do you have any "spy shots" of the body kit?

Not yet.

Ken,

Thanks again for everything. And once you get the new body kit in, please let me know. I'm really wanting one for my LS. And once the weather gets better, I'll be taking pictures for your 'customer pics' on your site.

Count me in...

I got quotes back and they were a little higher than anticipated. I'm working them to get the price lower.

Not until the manufacturer starts producing them again. They are saying sometime in April. You can buy the kit from Ford but the cost is about twice what we were/are selling the kits for.

ken where can i purchase the upper ans lower wire mesh grills for my 2002 ls also going to ordering one of your body kits this car only has 10,177 miles on so where would you offer the parts coming off they're like brand new thanks for your time just started this process any advice would be greatly appricated.. George duree

Posted by: GrayGhost1

We don't currently offer the upper and lower mesh grilles yet. As for the body kits, we don't buy back used body parts. You're best bet would be to advertise them in the classified section here or on eBay.

Any pictures on the LSK body kit and also any word on the lse kit
Thanks so for bugging you so much I got alot of time to play on here

Posted by: GrayGhost1

No word on either kit at this point. The LSE kit is slated for production by the end of the month the last time I spoke with them. I'll definitely "bug" them tomorrow.

Yea me too PLZ............ KEN PLZ..............with a cherry & sugar on top LOL

Posted by: GrayGhost1

To be honest, I'd just wish they'd start making the kit again. As for changing the bumper to a non-sport that would be a mold change and then you're talking BIG money.

BUMP
any progress on the new kit? or is it a no go?

Posted by: GrayGhost1

It's a no go until at least October. I have little hope that they will ever produce the kits again.

Guess what? The body kits will ready to be sold this week. The manufacturer is finishing up the front bumper cover early this week so we'll be ready to start taking orders for the kits.

Now, the down side is that they will not be selling the kits with aftermarket fog lights or exhaust tips and s-pipes. We already sell the OEM fog lights so that isn't a problem. The only issue will be the pipes. We may look into finding a company to make the s-pipes but at this time it won't be included with the kit. You're best bet is to take it to a local muffler shop and have them make a custom set of s-pipes to re-route the exhaust tips.

Pricing looks to stay the same eventhough you would not be getting the fog lights or the exhaust tips. Chalk it up to inflation on the manufacturer's part.

Good news though they decided to start making the kits again!
