(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: 87 bigbody

Just bought a new head unit for my 87 TC ran my own speaker wires/ wired the head unit / taped all stray wires/ played for 30 mins and blew a fuse / changed fuse 3 times, used same amp for radio all of them popped. I can't seem to find out what the problem is either there is no open wires touching any metal, I have a great ground, Has anyone had a problem similiar to this and if so what did you do to correct it? PLEASE HELP!!!

it could just be too powerful of a head unit for the fuse? try upping it 5-10 amps
