Anti-theft system problem '94 TC

I have a 1994 Town Car with a malfunctioning anti-theft alarm. The alarm seems to go off a any time even when the car is not locked (I think locking the car activates the alarm). In any event, this is a factory alarm. Went off last night at 2:30 am and again at 6:30 am.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing the alarm to go off (has even gone off in a locked garage) or know how I can permanently disable this alarm system?
