I don't agree with you on the 'population of lunatics', that implies that all democrats/liberals are so. Bad apples exist in both groups. Like I replied to Calabrio, I do not feel that those quotes embrace the Left as a whole. If so, would Pat Robertson's nut job rhetoric embrace the Right's way of thinking?

Both groups have people that are readily willing to spout off any sort of garbage that comes to mind.

When failure is met at the polls, the opposition instead obstructs any honest debate and falls back on lies and personal attacks and character assassination.

Compare the atmosphere created by Republicans outside the DNC convention in Boston in 2004 compared to the one outside the one in NYC surrounding the RNC convention.

The "fault" is simply that people have different needs, wants, drives, religions, live in different regions, etc., there will always be divisions.

This country has been divided since the begining, not everyone wanted to revolt and become independent from Britian. So why would anyone attempt to pin this on anyone person? To do so shows ignorance of the world around us. Anything a president does is bound to offend some and please others. We all should be wary when everyone in power is happy with what any president does.

We have surived presidents of many parties. But remember it was the republican party which made the first steps in ending slavery, not the democrats who have been around much longer, and it was the southern democrats who pushed to abolish reforms after the civil war and help establish Jim Crow laws. If your a minority I don't see how you possibly support this party run by and for rich white guys.

Didn't dig up the quote, but how about Pat Robertson calling for the assasination of Chavez. Far worse than the pinheads you quoted above who are just spouting off on a website. Robertson (a large Shrub contributor) has a large following among the religious sheeples. Big difference.

The inability to make these distinctions is a hallmark of the Left. It is perfectly apparent to thinking people the difference between your remarks and those from the Democrat Hate website.

But the Left embraces equivalence. In it's simplest form, equivalence is...Hitler had bombs, the US had bombs, therefore the US is no better, or different, than Nazi Germany. You see that kind of thinking all the time on the Left. The Left is unable to grasp nuanced thought and make moral distinctions. (They think nuance means taking every position on every issue, a la John Kerry and Bill Clinton)

And it is that kind of thinking that leads to asinine positions on the issues...the United States is the cause of terrorism, George Bush is the real terrorist, American businessmen are all evil pillagers and polluters, threatening the life of the President is just disagreeing with him, prosecuting a Repubican on trumped up charges is the same as prosecuting a Democrat on real ones, and on and on and on, the whole clueless litany of the Left.

Keep in mind, if the Left could think things through rationally, they'd be....Right.

See my preceding post. You cannot seem to make the distinction between "dumb" sayings...many in that link were made by Democrats by the way...and the hate and violence filled fantasy rants posted on the Democrat Hate site.

As for Pat Robertson, exploring the ways to remove a dictator who is an enemy of the United States, as well as an enemy of freedom, is not the same thing as the moonbat above who imagines George HW Bush was in that doorway in Dallas on November 22, 1963.
