kenne bell supercharger install

Is there anyone out there that has done this install and can tell me what all iam going to need other then the cowl hood thanks dave

I am currently having a whole packadge assembled as we speak. I can tell you that the very first thing you need is alot of money. It is impossible to do one thing and not having to do a few other things to make the whole system function properly. You have to replace or rebuild the exhaust system, the rear gears, the fuel delivery system, the heads, the block, the tranny, etc. You really should consider a mustang or something if all you want is a SC modular motor. I am retiring so this is my Gold watch, as I plan on keeping this car a loooong time. When its done I will have as much into the project as a new Mach 1, this is the choice I made, just trying to give you a heads up on real life, so you might want to consider a less costly approach to modding you ride.

Now why in the world would you want to replace the teskid block which can handle 1500 hp? Better deal for someone is to do a centrifugal supercharger with the Cobra intake swap, much cheaper.

Yep, and the Cobras aren't running our rods, cranks or pistons. I would not give up the Teksid block, but wanted to point out that there is more than just slapping on a KB unit. I was addressing the comment about using a KB unit and not a centrifical, and my point is that his budget has to be realistic. Any one can bolt up a half - fast setup, but if you plan on a safe setup it is going to cost more than what has been posted in other posts. You asked the question and I was trying to respond to the best of my ability, now that I am off crack cause I have to pay for this setup. BTW just what kinda tune, how and where? They ain't free either.

Actually the 96-01 Cobras have the exact same pistons and rods as the Mark VIII.

Thats what I was thinking when I addressed someone as a crack head. I should not have done that, sorry to all that may have been offended.

This set up is not going to be $10k, sorry, but it just isn't...unless you have someone else do EVERYTHING on the car.

03-04 Cobras were built tougher, I don't think any earlier years.
I too kicked the crack habit.

Yes, the 03/04 Cobras came with forged pistons and rods and the same forged crank as in the 96-01 Cobras.

i just want to know what car do i get the cruise and accel cables and what parts of intake do i need to make it work
also will the alternator bracket they give also work thanks dave

going to run 6 or 8 psi and be building the other engine i have while i run this one for now , it has 115,000 never leaks or uses any fluids and is nice and strong

I will let you know in a couple of days as I am waiting on some cables to come in and check the fit. You also have to relocate the alternator with a bracket that you can order. Have you talked to KB yet. You will find them very helpful, and if you take the time to really go over their technicals I think you will get my drift on project costing. Personally if you are building another engine I wouldn't waste the money on a KB 1.7L, but to each his own. I went for the 2.2L intercooled, and plan on using a little Meth. for the fun and games between crack hits.

The kit for the 96-98 Cobra is actually a 1.5L blower...
