i think that to replace the pass one you have to remove the exhaust to get to it.

You need 2 of them, get some Motorcraft ones. Take it to a muffler shop, they should give you the best price on install.

No you don't. Not with the right tools, anyways. I just did the two in mine a few months ago and the exhaust stayed put. Not a fun job regardless, though. Those connectors suck to get at.
