speed limiter

I'm new to the towncar world. I use to have an 87 limo but only had it for a month. I now have a 98 excuitive series. Does anybody know how to remove the speed limiter? I topped out the other day at 105. This upset me.

so no one knows how to make these cars go past 105.........???????????????? There has to be a chip or something. Does anybody even have a clue??????????????

I think someone had this question in the cadillac deville section, but it prob. wouldnt be the same... but might help.

you need a chip. i think it is the sct chip.Fahad has done this to his 02. Here is his homepage

we go over this topic many times in the ls forum heres a link on the xcal, its a reprogram to the pcm with different tunes, and overwrites the speed governator past oem specs.

It doesnt even feel like i was going that fast, and very quite. There was a couple bumps in the road but it just floated over them.
