My air compressor recently died on me... at the time the car raised no problem... Then the compressor died and the car was slammed... i still drove it sparringly because i needed to go to school and work. I replaced the compressor with one that kicks in and pumps are.. but the car wont raise?? The compressor just runs untill fuse blows... Any ideas?

Air-bags are shot and need to be replaced...

Chances are that was the only things that needed to be replaced, and NOT the compressor...

Blowing the fuse means the compressor is working over time and cannot keep the bags filled with air... Eventually since your compressor is working all the time it burns out and needs to be replcaed...

Jack your car up in front of the rear wheel and you will see the bags... The higher you lift the car, the bgs will become stretched out and you can see the tears in the bags... Spray some soapy water on the bags, and if it bubbles, you've got a leak... Replace both sides at once, and you will be ok...

I used Arnott 2 years ago and hvae ha NO problems with them... Installed on my own and it took 1-1/2 hours... If you can change your oil, you can do this... Arnott has a link to the right...
