Just wanted to say whats up. I just bought a 1991 Lincoln Towncar Executive series today. It was $1995, 163,000 miles, paint is fading a little, and there are minor dents and scratches, the interior is ok the armrests are cracked a little. I have some questions, how do I know if I have the JBL sound system. It gets pretty loud but not system loud. So I dont know. Also, how hard is it to change the window motors, two are out. And are there any performance parts available. Thanks for your help.

Welcome, hope you find what your looking for here!

Welcome aboard! It sounds like you found a decent deal on a Lincoln. I think the JBL system should have emblems on the speaker grills that have JBL on them. The window motors are a pretty simple job. And I believe the 91 had the 4.6L engine? That will be tough to mod, but certainly not impossible.

91 Town Cars did come out with the 4.6 SOHC engine, you got a good deal on your town Car i bought mine from a friend it cost me 2,000. Modifying you car i think is possible do the research and ask the people here. elcome: to

unfortunately, there really isn't a lot you can modify your car with... There aren't a lot of performance parts or add ons you can do... Congrats on a Towncar though!

Custom! Look under there. Measure a few things. Go to flowmaster. Find a muffler that fits. get some tips. Go to a shop. Its not that hard not everything is a bolt up and go like all these Hondas. It takes time and money to make power!

Thanks Sifrino3!
I will look into that.

And thank you all that helped. You all seem like a warm welcoming bunch .I hope to visit this site often.

You might need to find a Y-pipe. I need on for my 84' which goes into one muffler. Im going y-pipe then one flowmaster muffler that has two exits for dual exhaust. This is for my 84' LCS. Just check out Ebay and flowmastermufflers.com.
