Anyone heard of Federal Tires??

Hey guys I am planning on ordering my wheels/tires pretty soon, The company offered me a package with "Federal" brand tires and said they are new and are growing fast, everyone seems to rate them good, Ive personally never heard of them, Has anyone else?? I could also ditch these and get Sumitomo Tires for pretty cheap also...

Depends on what you want them for.

I would never go with anything other than "top tier" tires (Michelin, Goodyear, BF Goodrich etc.).

i have heard of them when i was selling tires years ago. they are not "new" to the market.

I have em on my BMW, they look good, handle really nice and ride smooth. I had em on for about 8 months now, no complains, except the outer edge of tire is strating to show some wear, but I do a lot of fast driving, cornering and burning rubber in that car.

Well I dont race or corner or anything its just a nice lookin daily driver, all style. I am just deciding of what to do either the Federals or Sumitomos

Federal has been around for years. I bought a set of Federals with white rasied letters in 1975 for my 70 Firebird. They were the least expensive yet lasted longer than the set of Goodyear tires I bought 40,000 miles later for the same car.

I had federals on the 20's that were on my ranger. I had the federals when I bought the wheels, they were decent, I upgraded to nittos, and noticed no difference. they wore the same, gripped the same, made the same noise etc.... I liked'm
