Need Procedure for Replacing Seal and Bushing

1986 Lincoln Mark VII

Engine: 5.0 L

Woman in the House

Question:

Has anyone replaced the rear bushing and seal on the transmission?

How labor intensive is it, and what is the procedure.

Problem:

My car is shimming and shivering when I accellerate. Also idles a bit rough, but not sure if its related.

I took car to Big O Tires and they checked the motor mounts, transmissions mounts, and Universal Joints. They said okay.

They said to take car to transmission shop and see if the rear seal needs replacing.
