The LMS 3-Piece rear wing is a GO! L@@K!

I just came back from the Fiberglass Guys today with all the information and current pics I could get. This is THE REAL DEAL HERE! The Wing WILL FLY! Here are the details.

The Wing has been completely re-engineered and RE-MOLDED as well.
It is now thinner and lighter, nearly weightless with a fitment that is second to none. Don't worry it is still that "factory" looking "at home" wing that is was before but just made better.

Other revisions include the elimination of the bolt on style with a 3M adhesive back application tape mount (Tape not included) this eliminates the holes that would normally be required to mount this wing which will ruin your trunk panel permanently.

The Wing will be made when 20 (Twenty) prepaid pre orders have been received and verified. The Popularity of this item does lead me to believe that this will be filled reasonably quickly.

The Lincolnmotorsport Wing Mold is completed and is nearly ready to start full production, here is the pictures from today 11/2/2005.

The first two pictures are of the new molds with the actual FIRST RUN wing pieces still in it.

This is the first run's test fit session and everything is perfect, tight and clean.

The price for the LMS 3 piece rear wing will be FIXED at $349.00 plus s&h. Shipping will be at a flat fixed rate of $29.95 for locations east of the Mississippi and $59.95 for locations west of the Mississippi.

When ordering you will be entering into a Contract with LMS, there will be NO refunds or Credits of any type after your purchase has been made, we will accept payment through Pay Pal or Personal Check/Money Order, NO CHECKS.

There will be an approximate wait time of 2 to 4 Weeks time frame for the first orders to arrive, this is due to the fact that at the most they can make is 2 in one day and since they are FULLY HAND MADE they do take a lot of time and effort to produce.

This will be the best quality version we have ever released with an AMAZING fit and finish. Finally after much anticipation and doubt the LMS Wing is going to fly again.

As I mentioned IN THIS THREAD it will take a TON of pre paid pre orders to make a Gen II wing and hood. 



Lets see what happens first with the Gen I version and go from there. Still not one order taken yet.

So, I need to send you $380 and wait for 19 others to do the same for the genII Wing. Then wait for the wing mold to be designed and fabricated and then wait for the wing to be made? Is this correct? Just curious - looks like a long time to wait and be out $380 non-refundable hard earned cake.

I don't mind the waiting game as i've been waiting ever since the day after you discontinued the first round of wings, I wanted to put on my 95. But to be out $380 for my 98, does it get refunded if not enough people are interested?

Your money would be refunded if the project never met the minimum requirements for the manufacturing process to take place.

I HIGHLY doubt the Gen II will EVER get made by the looks of the Gen I "Rebirth" so I wouldn't worry about that.

If we were to do a Gen II wing we would announce that in a seperate thread. It would only take a couple of weeks to re design and re mold the Gen II version but like I said do not hold your breath.

Its so funny how the original wing thread had over 2000 views and 50 replies with SO MANY peope saying YES I WANT IT and ILL BUY it the second its available and all, we will see how many people actually Pony up now that it is READY TO GO.

It looks like a lot of those replies saying thay would buy one were for the GEN II's.
Hell, I'll just buy some fiberglass and make on myself. A little time and patience and anything can be done. It won't be as nice as the material you're using but I'll bet it'll look the same. Maybe i'll buy some clay and make my own mold and produce some for others. We'll see.

Thats a good question. its gonna take a VERY long time to get 20 people to chip in. Hell it took over a year to get those custom indiglo gauges(which I still have not seen any actual posts about those.. which is pretty strange) and that was with only a dollar deposit I believe.

You see I am broke and comming up with almost 400 dollars would take me a long time... so I'd ask for this as my x-mas present.... however I would like it to not be x-mas 2006-2007 for me to finally get my present, and get nothing this year.. lol

If this falls through (which Im sure it will) then the monies will be refunded in the way they sent. PP fees will be deducted from refunds but that is beyond my control.

So far there is 2 (two) guaranteed orders. 18 to go. yawwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnn.

so if 20 people dont order there will be no way to get the wing? if only 15 order and you refund the money wil lyou be able to hook us up with the guy and see if he can make just that many? or will that not be cost effective?

It looks nice but I think its a bit over priced, I'd considerate it at a lower price ! Not to ruffle your feathers Geno but when you consider that you can get a cobra R hood for 600.00 the rear wing at just a bit over 400.00 seems a bit high.

They are more expensive because they are not mass produced like the hoods. This is a custom job, which increases costs.

The CR Hood is MORE then $600.00 and our Wing is NOT $400.00 its $349.00 it's $50.00 more then what it used to be when it was in regular production. Like Joey said If I were selling 3-5 a week they would be $250.00 but remember this, its a CUSTOM HAND MADE item and there is NOTHING out there that even looks close to this.

Yeah, the wing has grown on me. I was a little uneasy about the price, figguring there are better mods to spend my money on, but seeing how it looks like it will be discontinued after the first run, i think i can promise you my order by say arround the 28th of nov. (gotta get my girl a bday presant on the 19th, otherwise id say sooner)

Just think, you could have one of the RARE winged mark 8's too!

the only thing id be worried about is the added weight, what did you say it weighed?

So,

What kind of a modification would be needed to make one fit a 98LSC. Are the trunks that different? A dremmill and some sandpaper, add a little fiberglass. Weight doesn't concern me, I'm 6'5 250lbs and still packing some on. That wing just kicks ass.

The trunks are completely different and would require a whole new mold. Thats why I said lets see what this one does, if it goes then I will gladly pont up the $$ for the Gen 2..... But as you can see it's doing absolutely nothing, just as I suspected and I also feel I am going to regret investing in this AGAIN since there is still ONLY 2 orders. We shall see.

Would love one... but not unless I was getting the ride re-painted soon. I would then have about 3 different shades of black on the car. LoL. I also dont have $350.00 to spit out as of now and have it sit in the garage until I get the car painted. I'm sure you will get enough orders.. Let's go people chime in your orders now. Takes alot to get this done by Geno. I will consider it in the next couple days. But rims and HID's are on the list first...

Like I said I would buy one in a heartbeat if I had 400 bucks to give right now and get it a year or 2 later... however I don't, I am sorry I have lots of bills to pay. I really really want one but asking that much up front is crazy. if it was like 50-100 down payment and the rest when confirmed, I'd send him my money before x-mas.

I agree. Still attending college full time doesn't exactly put a lot of cashola in my pocket to spare. I would love to have one of these wings, but need to make it more affordable up front. I believe you would get your numbers then. Just my two cents.

Mufflers $119.00 each
xx pipe $110.00
Flat Rate S&H 27.50 in the US.

Local shops charge such different pricing for the install. I have seen anywhere from 250-450.

I just called him and he is checking into it. You were one of the FIRST 4 new orders Month's ago. I have no idea what happened. I WILL find out today!!!

I just talked to my glass guy.
He said he left you a message explaining everything, he dropped the ball on your order and will have it leaving to you on Friday.

He was in the middle of moving the shop and lost shipping labels and invoices and info and what not. Somehow he had you checked off as shipped long ago.
He will make it right and I more then appriciate your valued patience during this mishap. At least he had the balls to admit he did trong and is going to make it right asap!!

Just wanted to let you know that the wing came in yesterday. I can't wait to get it painted and installed. Speaking of installing it, what is the recommended procedure to do this? There was nothing else included in the package, just the wing... Does it screw in or what? I thought there was a mention of a template to guide you through drilling holes in the trunk lid. Definately don't want to start drilling holes I don't need to in the decklid...

No we ditched the bolt on deal, too destructive. We use 3m molding tape, and drop it on.

you gen 2 guys dont want the same style do you's??.. your car has different angles and i think a new wing and new hood would have to be designed then made..
i like those little wings on the new cts and sts's.. something like that would look great on gen 2's
but.. like Geno said.. not enough interest

a rounded off version of the cts and sts wing.. its like a 1 1/2" piece that runs with the lines of the trunk lid.. not too sporty but just enough

Of the rear wing. I still like it. Unlike some of the other mods ive had on cars and trucks that i got bored of, and removed them. This one stayed.
