Change O2 sensors
Clean MAF sensor
Change air filter to K&N or other high-flow
Change spark plugs to stock temp, platinum. Use Motorcraft only!
Change wires.
Synthetic oil like Mobil 1 and filter
Engine block heaters- they can help reduce cold consumption during startups.
Seafoam in the tank and into the intake manifold.

Have someone else do it. It's a bloody knuckles job- let someone else bleed to death. MAF you can do yourself. Just disconnect the connector from the airbox assembly, remove the torx bits, spray the MAF sensor with electrical cleaners, and you're done.
