Need Urgent Help!

I need help to find out what is wrong with this damn radio! Its a 87' LSC with a kenwood MP3 Cd player with a detachable face. Now i put a Cd in and the slot and flipped the face plate up, the screen lit up for a few seconds and then it made a faint "pop" sound and shut off. I have checked all the fuses. And also, i noticed that the eject button is staying on when the key is out instead of shutting off when you turn the key to "off". Any suggestions on what I should check?!?! HELP!

Did it ever work properly, or was it installed and this started happening? It sounds like your constant power and auxilary power lines might be connected incorrectly.

It has worked for about 2 years now. I was thinking that there may be a fuse inside the headunit.
