Ok heres what i have so far.

1. Bellhousing from 87 mustang gt
2. Throwout bearing and the fork
3. Clutch
4. Pressure plate
5. fly wheel
6. Pressure plate, flywheel, and bellhousing to motor bolts, trans to belhousing bolts.
7. Driveshaft yolk from T-5
8. Clutch cable+adjuster
9. New clutch quadrant
10. Pedal assembly

Ok, Im going to get a trans from an 88 stang, and put a 94-95 tailshaft on it, so i can retain the factory driveshaft right?

Anything else u guys see that im missing?

Also anyone know if i could get a neutral saftey switch?

Don't know about that.

I've never done the 5 speed conversion myself and that is why I did not chime in. Many have done the 5 speed conversion, just gotta know where to look.

But check out this link as a starting point.

Hope this helps.

Go to www.turborides.com, register, search for disney lincoln's article.

I have been told a 94-95 trans will allow you to use the factory driveshaft, but can not vouch for myself.

The driveshaft needed is 58.5" from mounting flange to tranny seal, get a crown vic ONE piece aluminum, cut and balanced to that measurement.

You will not use a ns switch on the pedal assembly, throw that stuff from the stang pedals in the trash.

Going into the AOD is a Four wire plug, two of these are for reverse lights, two are for ns switch.

You must at least tie the two together for the ns switch or the car wont start..if you do it this way you will loose cruise on 84-92 vehicles..to retain cruise you can you can wire those two into the ns switch at the back of the trans for 84-89 vehicles..this way you have cruise and the car will only start in neutral. In 90-92 there was not stand alone cruise and it will be lost unless you add a stand alone cruise system like the stangs had. Also note without use of a ns switch on the pedal assembly, the clutch pedal does not needed to be pressed to start, it starts like an automatic.

If done right the automatic door locks will still work with the five speed.

Feel free to ask if you have any more questions..the swap is much easier then most think.
