Procrastination Pays Off

Well, as some of you may have read my NAV disc got messed up and I couldn't use the destination feature for a while. Well, FLM told me that I had to get a new disc, they wouldn't pay for it. Instead of getting one right away, I shopped around, forgot about it, looked some more, but never bought one.

Well yesterday I get a call from my advisor saying he has my new disc, I can pick it up whenever. So I went and got it today, it's the 4D version (2006?), free of charge. Good thing I didn't win any of those ebay auctions I had bid on.

Congrats!!!!!

Good deal. Why wouldn't FLM pay for another disc?

Sweet deal!!! Awesome!

Remember though, ultimately...

Procrastination is like masturbation, in the end your just ****ing yourself!

They said they don't warranty the disc, NAVTEQ does, and it only has a 30 day warranty on it from them. Basically, they didn't have to do it, so they didn't. I guess my advisor called the right guy to get it done though. Probably cause I was pretty pissed with him due to the fact that this issues started in March or April, I had taken it in 3 or 4 times, they told me it was fixed everytime and it never was. I wasn't too happy the last time I talked to him.

Well, your service guy deserves some praise then. I tell you one thing it doesn't hurt to suck up to those guys from time to time. When I take my car into service at Neill-Sandler FLM the Service Manager, Jimmy Cox, always gets a treat from me. Whether it's a Ford desk clock or a cool Lincoln shirt it helps in customer-dealer relations. He definitely takes care of me when I'm in there getting my car serviced.

Glad to hear you got your Navi disc!
