Exhaust tips on 03+

Can the tips be taken off of the stock mufflers somehow? Wondering if there is a weld that can be grinded off to take them off. I want to put new Magnaflow tips on the back to fill out the bumper cutout. Thanks!

I think so, I just put my Corsa tips right over the stock ones. They are 3" inlet w/ a 4" exit. Slid right over and tacked them (also used black touch up paint to black out the end so you can't see them in the new tip)so I can remove them at a later date if needed.
