power aerial

I have a 1980 coupe deville, I had too disconnect power connection to aerial because it just keeps on running, apparently there's a belt in there that cycles and turns power off and on, Iv'e heard theres a repair kit made by G.M.
for this. Has anyone had any experience with this?. tnx Creeker
