First, got beat by a Deville and now my own town car

There is seriously something wrong with my Mark VIII. Now I got beat by my own town car. My mom was driving the town and me in the Mark VIII. We just made a U-turn, my mom first and then me right after her. I was right behind her and we both floored it. I couldn't even catch her up untill it hit into third gear. I mean I wasn't even gaining one inch on the town.

The reason I beat her after is because her speed limiter kicked in(112 MPH).

Then I pass her with ease like she was standing still. (At 120 mph)

So what could be wrong with my Mark?

dude you got to stop running people who is ahead of you and or has forward momentum. forward momentum will always beat you. i alway destroy my buddies 94 rustang GT convertable. but when i am cruising i see his crazy ass come quick from behind me, i floor it ( mind you he is like 10-15 cars away from me) he passes me like i was standing still. i hit 120, and he is like 10-20 cars ahead of me. that is the ONLY way he can beat me is forward momentum. i think your car is fine!

you lost to you mom! There's must be some thing wrong with it. Maybe get the codes read? , new air filter?

whenever you are exiting a turn the person in front has a huge advantage because they can get on the gas so much sooner than you. It's sort of like giving her a head start. Don't forget a few tenths of a second makes a huge difference on the road. Line up at a light or from a roll and be sure you hit it at the same time. Best comparison is at a track.

yeah she likes to race but she would never go to the drag. I guess she likesd to do it the illegal way. But If i could just get her to a drag strip once,i know she would like to go again.

i did that to a RX-8 a couple of weeks ago... i couldnt believe i caught up to him.

i was a little scared tho lol
