Light switch for '87 TC.. Motor probs..

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

My light switch is completely messed up.. the people i got the car from said it didnt work and had all the plastic wood off the dash tore off. The light switch was also out of its placing. The light switch actually doesnt work.. but the hi-beams do so i know the light is okay. Anybody know where i can find a switch and how much? Also.. the fuel injected 302 (prolly a gas hog) Has a lifter out in the motor. Im not so sure it might not be a rod ALSO, it leaks a little oil and the person who had it drove it on the highway about 65+ miles each day. Would i be able to fit a newer model mustang or crown vic (4.6) motor in it if i get the wiring harness + tranny? Thx

Just call around for the light switch. Quite common - for the pull style. May be more if you have the auto-high-dimmer (like I do)

Don't even think of messing with the 4.6 - just put another 5.0 and be done.

If it's just the lifter - i'd replace that and see how she sounds...

On my 87' I see around 14-15 with a decent pedal...
