DRIVE SHAFT POPPED OUT??? Help!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Johnny STS

Replacing front struts on 97 STS. On re-install, unable to align the strut bottom to the knuckle. The top end of the knuckle will not move backward and align to the strut bottom.

It seems the knuckle assembly is being pushed out by the drive/axle shaft...as it it had popped out and unable to go back in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would consider come coercion by means of a pry bar. If everything came out normal, there is no reason it shouldn't go back in normal. If all else fails........remove everything and reassemble.
