94 SLS, fuel sending unit

I have a 94 SLS, it just stopped running after 2 weeks of having the car and found out it was the fuel sending unit. i know it would be cheaper to do it myself, but they wanna charge me $550 for the work and parts. would i be better off doing it my self, wheres the best place to get parts, and how hard is the job. if anybody can, send me a reply ASAP, thanks
