What is wrong with Ford! Ending the LS at the end of 2006
The LS was a good attempt to take on the beamers and others in that class. My son lives in DC and drives an LS – V8, most of his friends drive foreign sports sedans and they had no idea what it was he drove. Yet when they rode in his car or when he blew their doors off coming out of the twisties they were very impressed. Yet they thought of Lincoln as an elderly grandfather’s car. Lincoln once stood for power and leadership in the auto industry. Ford blew it with the LS. They should have tweaked and improved that auto to where no foreign sports sedan could have touched it. Instead they continue to build ill handling, under powered, poorly sitting hulks of junk that are no more than corpulent versions of Crown Vic patrol cars. They needed an all wheel drive system, one that favored the rear to retain the overstear qualities. They should have been able to beat any car manufacture if they would hire people who have any idea as to what turns drivers on in 2005 not 1952!!
