Torque Converter 1990 T/C

Is there any way to drain the torque converter when changing the filter and fluid, that is without removing the transmission on my 1990 T/C .

I haven't done it but you should be able too. Have you tried yet?

Remove the black gromet on the bottom of the tranny bellhousing, you will see the torque converter. Then, with a rachet, turn the crankshaft until you see an 11mm plug. Undo the plug and enjoy the Mercon shower...
