My front left strut pumps up and right at the end it goes phweest then drops. I'm not sure if the air bag is bad or if its something else. I have 120,000 and I'm sure I need new struts. I want new (not rebuilt). I should buy from who and how much will it cost.

Thanks for any info.

Probably the air struts. You can buy struts from Either Arnott or Strutmasters (see ads on right) - At that mileage I would replace both front struts. Call both and ask about pricing for LVC members.

Also consider a coil conversion. Would be a lot cheaper even in the short run.

Thats what mine did, so i bought some from strutmasters and when they arrived they said arnott on them. While we're on the subject of struts. Why do they say Arnott on a pair of struts that i purchased from Strutmasters?

I believe strutmasters buys from arnott, but im not sure.

I just converted to coils, and happen to be selling some air ride parts. The front drivers side bag was bought from strutmasters about 1 month ago. my compressor is in working condition but still in the car. let me know if you are interested and I will sell the parts very cheap!

That's funny, I bought a full set of coils from American Air Suspension and the struts had a "Made by Strutmasters" sticker on them!

Aww man! They were my first choice but i wasnt familar with the company so i just went ahead and bought from strutmasters.

I believe Arnotts makes the air bags - and sells them to strutmasters - and Strutmasters makes the coils and sells them to others.

Either way - both advertise here and give our gold members a discount.
