Water Crossover pipe leaking

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: 96MarkVIII

The car is a 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII. My water crossover pipe(piece on top that the top radiator hoses go into) is leaking at the base (where the pipe enters the motor) on the passengers side(the side with the sensor in it). My first question is how to get the crossover pipe out. My second question, is what to be expecting as the fix. Will I be replacing an o-ring or gasket or what. Any information helps and will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Micah

It's an o ring. There are 3 total in the whole pipe assymbly. I'm not sure of the size, (I just take the originals to the hardware store and match them up) Alos, Use some di-Electric grease on the rings before you put them in place.
