in the tranny dip stick tube right? how do i know how much to put in.

Posted by: mespock

Down the dip stick is correct... You may need to read your dip stick to deturmine how much to add... If you are just adding don't forget to add some Lucus Tranny fix... The stuff is fantasic and will help prolong the life of your tranny.

Tranny holds 12 qts. A few quarts will be in the Torque converter... If you haven't drained the Torque you will need about 10 qts..

Check your dip stick while adding fluid...

hey man thanks alot for reccomending the lucas. I actually just went back and bought some. The guy at the store told me to add the whole bottle. My fluid is low according to jiffy lube, so i was just gonna add a couple quarts of mercon V but he said to add this whole thing first its 24. oz. Then add fluid if needed. Is this right?

Posted by: ILL VII

Doesnt matter, but makes sense, so you can use ALL the lucas, and add transmission fluid accordingly, instead of vice versa.

Posted by: PioneerCrazed

Quick question, Does your transmission already have Mercon V in it or still III?

Posted by: RustyBaker

i got the 1-2 shift acc. done and they put 5 in it

Posted by: PioneerCrazed

Alright cool, I just didn't want you adding V to III if that was still in there
