1985 VII what should I look out for?

I'm considering a Mark VII. 1985 with 81K. $1,000. I've been getting to know the guy who is selling it.

What should I look out for?

I'm still waiting to hear about the Dash Probelm. Thanks Sifrino3 for your initial imput.

I would check on the transmission and the air suspension as unique MarkVII possibilities. Make sure it shifts properly, and the air bags aren't dropping when the car sits. Otherwise, shop like you would for any other car.
