(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: brentalan

Hey Guys -

I was thinking maybe we should do a New England meet this fall. Any interest? Cubster is from Massachussets and I haven't seen him in a while. He's driven down to NJ a few times so it would be good to go up for him. I was also talking to a new guy, TownCarSS who is also from Mass. and would like to do it. Anyway, speak up! Other people from New England must want to make a meet. Plus the weather is GREAT in the fall up there. Whaddya all say????????

It looks like they all want to get this going. Saturday October 1 looks good on my schedule.

You can always meet me in the bars around the Downtown Haverhill area...

Posted by: brentalan

Seriously, we could do that as an after-party.

Posted by: mespock

Way to take the bull by the horns Brent!!!

New use to have a lot of meet and greets until the NE break up..

Get a hold of Old School as he's full of ideas and if he brought his cars you'd have as many as we did in the midwest...

Be nice to have a cruise night type of thing at Salibsury/ Hampton Beaches. We could meet somewhere for a couple of hours, and then terrorize the strip with a major psycho-luxorbarge invasion. The ricers and eurotrash wouldn't know what hit em'...

Maybe next year for me

Posted by: brentalan

Well, I am serious about this meet, the Northeast chapter has not yet met in New England. I think we have a good bit of support here, and if we work on it I'll bet they'll be plenty of people by October 1st. Details soon, suggestions welcome.

Posted by: evillally

How about the Mall or Track at Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire? Conveniently located, lots of parking lot space, lots of places to eat afterward, no hassle from anyone...

Posted by: Black87LSC

Anywhere is cool with me

May want to include some area/time for technical talk, both basic & advanced levels. I, of course, would like this to cover the Gen 1 Mark V111, but what can I say. By the way Cubster I put in the 1-1/4 ADDCO & the corner slides are unbelievable... you called it, thanks Ed

My pleasure Ed, I'm glad I could be of some help........

Actually, I want to do some tech sessions in the future with the northeast chapter, and Geno said he would have further meets at his shop in NJ. I think this is ideal for tech sessions seeing as he has a lift and a lot of know how. I know that kind of stinks for the New England guys, although I think it is worth it considering Geno's expertise on these cars. I like the idea though - the biggest questions are 1) can we get Geno to make it to New England 2) if not, is there someone up there willing to lead a tech session and 3) do we have a place up there that would be able to accomidate this? New England guys, help me out. I want to have this meet for all of you but to have a tech session means I need your help in finding a place we can go.

By the way, the rear sway bar is a bolt on, right? I know for the front sway bar you need to drop the k-member, but the rear is a piece of cake I assume? I haven't looked under there, can someone confirm this for me? Maybe I can install mine at the New England meet LOL.

Posted by: Jamler3

I'm interested... If y'all will still have me since I don't own a Mark anymore!!!

Posted by: pepperman

Just because you crossed over to the dark side I think they will still have you.

Posted by: BeantownDegener8

I am definitely interested in a New England area meet. Let me know if I can help coordinate anything. I know a lot of people - I'll ask a buddy of mine if we could invade his place for a day/night. He has a large auto body / auto repair shop and I might be able to get a private police detail for nothing. Let me dig a little between now and Monday to see what, if anything, I can produce since I have never helped put something like this together.

Let me see if I can produce. I'll keep you posted.

Jim

Posted by: brentalan

Beantown - that would be great if you could help me set up. I'll send you a private message with my e-mail address and phone number so we can coordinate this. Where is your buddy's shop? To other NorthEast chapter members, does this sound good to you? Jamler - of course you can come, it IS Lincoln vs. Cadillac, I want to see some Caddys there.

Yeah... I know its LVC, but we need to do some serious Caddy Recruiting to the site... I've seen maybe 2 or three posts since I've been here on the Caddy STS.
I'll need to get some Caddy dudes to cruise to Boston...

Posted by: Black87LSC

I'm up for anything in Mass.

Posted by: mholhut

Alright... everyone's interested, but nothing's firmed up for a date and a location. I usually host a collective car club picnic every year at my house. This year's theme was Oktoberfest! I'd be more than happy to have fellow Lincoln and Cadillac owners for the event. I'm located just north of Northampton, MA... on the border of "the Berkshires" in Western Mass. Usually, there's a great enthusiastic tour of the twisties in the area following the picnic. I have a maintained grass lot adjacent to my house with parking for 50 cars.

I'm offering if the group is interested... Weekend of Oct 1st or 8th is fine with me.

I want the date to be October 1, no one has objected to that date, so I think it will be a go. I NEED HELP FROM SOMEONE IN NEW ENGLAND. mholhut, that sounds like a great idea. 00LS-SPORT had some ideas too, but mholhuts sounds like it would work the best. Do you guys have input? mholhut, can you private message me with some contact information? I am 100% serious about doing this and I want to get in touch with you and get this going.

Posted by: towncarss

hey its all good caddy or lincoln... the same guy that started caddy started lincoln about 10 years after selling the caddy name to GM he later sold the lincoln name to FORD... thats a little known fact... but anyway i am definitly up for a cruise night/ meet

Posted by: Jporter

Sorry guys, I'm gonna miss another meet. Me and about a dozen other cops volunteered to go down to Louisanna as back up for the local law enforcement that are having a hard time keeping everything under control. Maybe I'll get to a meet sometime. But,not at this time.

Posted by: brentalan

Well, we are now looking at October 8th. If you get back by then please join us. and THANK YOU for your work there!

Posted by: brentalan

Guys, mholhut is offering, Who is in for October 8th?

Brent, the way things go around here I'd suggest you put up a "sticky" thread so EVERYONE will see it, and hopefully sign up to come !!!!! Mholhut, ty for offering your place for the meet, do we have room for a cookout ?

Posted by: Jamler3

10/08... I could be in for that... Potentially...

If Mholhut has a grill I'll bring the steaks & potato salad, everyone can bring something, soda, chips ,condiments, hotdogs burgers if you don't like a nice steak and of course beer if you drink ( but not to much, you should NEVER drink & drive, cuz you might hit a bump & SPILL YOUR DRINK !!! )

Jimmy, whats this "potential" thing, if I made it to Jersey twice, you can surely make it to Ma.. C'on

Posted by: brentalan

Ok, working on it guys.

Posted by: 67Continental

the meet sounds like a lot of fun - i have a lot of family in mass, and i would drive down from montreal - but the 8th is out for me, it's Canadian thanksgiving But don't let that's stop you!
