So this past week i changed the air pump for the suspension. Than last nite while sitting at a light, the truck just died. I tried to restart it but it would go thru the motions of starting but wouldn't kick over. All the electrical aspects of the truck were working fine, just not kicking over. the Triple A guy said he thought it sounded like the Fuel pump ? Any proof to this ? he said i would smell the gas, but no smell of gas at all. Not sure if he was just full of hot air, but anyone have any clue. thanks.

Turn the key on a couple of times to the run the fuel pump without starting the engine. Do that 3 times. On/off without starting. Turn it off and ender the hood check the shraedr valve on the fuel rail. Little black threaded cap. Take that off. Press down slightly on the vavle and you should get a squirt of gas (remember the system should be under pressure so having a towel handy and some glasses on might help). If you do, and you could hear the pump running when you cycled the key, might not be the fuel pump. How many miles on the Nav?
