Ahhhh!!! - Windshield Loose

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I noticed that when I wash my car I would get a little drip...

I figured that I had a leak that I was going to get fixed.. No big deal...(yes I had the leak since I purchased the car in March)

So yesterday while I was taking my daughter to catch her flight to WA I had A-1 glass come and seal my leak..

This morning when I got in my car to check out the work - (read my post in the general section as to why I waited until the morning - didn't get home until 12:45 AM) I found a note saying I couldn't fix your leak as your windshield is loose.

Because I wasn't around the guy couldn't do the repair without my concent.

So I called A-1 glass and asked what was up.. They said that well the windshield was loose and so loose that I shouldn't be driving my car..

Oh! So I called the place where I purchased my 95 Mark VIII and they said we never worked on the windshield.. We know nothing about it.. and would do nothing about it..

I didn't think they would as I did purchase the car in March. I did notice a little rattle but I thought it was from the wiring of the sat radio that was removed from the car by the previous owner..

So not what was going to be a $50 job will hopefully only be a $100 job as long as they don't break the windshield.

According to the guy who worked on the car he feels that it should break as the windshield is so loose that it will not be hard to remove..

So that's what that occational rattle was hmmmm.....

Well they put me #1 on their list for Friday! Yes, Friday the day I'm leaving for Chicago for the meet on the 13th... They should be here by 9:00 AM and I could be on the road by noon, is my estimate..

don't worry Rich, I'll keep Debi occupied!!!

Actually I think there is a curse! My car is in the shop and the bag on the passenger side just popped out of no where! They have no idea why it happened (yeah right! try turning the switch off!). So now my poor car is stuck at the shop and I don't know if I'll have it before the meet!
