Door Problem

Can anyone help me with this problem? When my 97 is parked out in the sun and it starts to get hot, the computer does not register that the driver's side door is ever closed. I dont know what would cause this but i suspect that when the door expands when it heats up, the sensor will not register the fact that the door is actually shut. It might also be the sensor itself, i dont know. Any feedback on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A common problem. Grease the latchings and the door catch. Lube everything metal that moves, and it should go away...
