Automatic Door Locks

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

My lock on the driver side is not responding to either the remote or the lock/unlock switch in the cabin from either armrest. In the past there were times when it would not lock unlock, but I could hear the motor trying the thing was just jammed until I manually opened the door. I take it this is some mechanism that has burnt out since I hear no noise at all from the door when I puch lock or unlock.

The passenger side door lock works perfectly, and it always has.

Anyone know what this part would be, or have one that you could sell to me?

Thanks for any input and advice from you all.

i have exactly the same problem on my rear driver side door on my Conti + the window won't roll down either. No ideas why.

I am guessing a bad actuator. Sounds like the driven gear was going bad before and finally gave up the ghost.

I would have to say you are right, someone from the forumns already said that they can supply me with an actuator.
