Leather seat question

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: bobslydel

On the seats of the LS which sections are leather and which sections are vinyl? As far as I can tell on the interior of my car (2000) these are the sections that are leather. Everything else not marked with a yellow "L" is vinyl I'm guessing.

The reason I ask is because when cleaning the LS I want to make sure I use the appropriate cleaner on the sections. I'm sure using leather cleaner on vinyl wouldn't do any damage but I heard that using Armorall on leather will mess up the leather. TIA

Bob

???...Why would it all be leather?

That's what i always assumed!

Armor all will crack vinyl!! Most boat mannufacturers will void the warranty if yuo use armor all on the seats!! If you want to use a protectant on vinyl use 303. As far as I know all of the seat is leather in my 04.

I think all the parts that you touch are leather, only the sides and back are vinyl.

I would say Armor All is fine on vinyl, as long as you don't use it too often. I never had a problem with it in my Chrysler, which is all vinyl.
