(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

so i'm sitting in my car the other day and realized how badly I hate the inside of the car, I mean I don't mind the doors, the dash and stuff, but the seats are hideously plain looking. ANyone make any cool seat covers or accesories for the interior of are cars? ALso does anyone make a cool style shifter for our cars or am I stuck with the stock one for life?

thanks,
scott

There is only a few ppl/places that I know of that has direct fit seat covers for our cars. Geno has some, and Special Vehicle Products Unlimited has some. I am not sure about Geno, but I know SPVU has it to where you can get any color combo they have available, and you can get it LSC style (with the perforated leather).

As for a shifter.....you are pretty much stuck, unless you can find one with the extra button.....or you can do what I did, move the O/D button to the T/C button below the HVAC controller and using this or any shifter knob you want.....after you move the wiring for the O/D function.

I hope this helps....

From the SVPU website:

Unfortunately due to outsourcing out of country our manufacturer of our Leather kits has informed us that effective Friday July 29th, 2005 they will be shutting down the leather department and we will no longer be able to offer our leather kits. We were the first and the best...NOBODY could or has offered a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty on their kits so if you kept putting off ordering your kit then it is just about too late....sorry, we have invested a lot in this program and not happy this decision has been made but have no say in the matter.

PS: These folk make dreams become reality perhaps a lil more ea$ily: http://www.autoupholsterykits.com/

unless your interior is all ragged out... anyone tired of the mark interior maybe should start lookin for a new car. I absolutely love my marks interior. All black stock MarkVIII interior defines style!!

and to put that shift knob in a Mark interior is sacrelig. That thing belongs in a ricer.

You can run a Hurst 1/4 stick which is an awesome shifter. You just have to get the NOS button knob and use it for the over drive switch. I will be putting this in The TerminVIIIor someday, I have it just sitting in the garage.

Yeeeaaaahhhh baby!!! Now we're talkin'! Put that ricer flameball on top of that!

If you had 1200 bucks laying around you could have bought the leather kit from SVPU, but now it seems their out of that business. Posted from another board:

Like what was said earlier.....Take it to a custom shop. I'm looking for a new carpet set right now. If I can't get one from ford, I'm going through the same.

I will soon. I am researching this as I write.

Posted by: ONEBADMK8

It will fit. I test fitted mine when I had the interior gutted. You will have to do some small mods.

Gruuvin8, thanks for saying it.
Take his keys, he is not worthy.
The shifter ball, nice but you need another to bang em together.
The seats, they look like those pull over fake covers for chairs and couches.
92??????
as for that shifter/car jack, keep it under the donut.

Hahah. Well said. LOL.

The shift nob, belongs on a dune buggy.

The leather seats, again, look like fake pull overs.

The shifter, I like. Minus the ball nob and perhaps a handle much like the B&M.

One thing MsM8tress The seats had just been installed 4 days prior to the pic's. They hadn't had time to get hot and shrink. I also went back into the seat to add some more foam. I assure you the seat DO NOT look like cheap pull overs if the had. I would be getting my $1200.00 back. I'm not one to waste money. Just wanted to put in my 120,000 cents on your comment.

No hard feelings. I will post another pick and I think you might agree.

That's two things baby, maybe the combo of shrinkage and more filler will help them out. I looked at the shots just posted, compared them to the thread shots, the back seat is the same pic, front diff. angel but looks the same too. PM me when you post new pics after things tighten up and more filler added, that would deff. help.

Dang, the exterior of your Mark is beautiful, got an pics of the old interior, what color was it?

I just can't understand how can you own a Mark that is as sharp as yours and say "........realized how badly I hate the inside of the car, I mean I don't mind the doors, the dash and stuff, but the seats are hideously plain looking." It breaks my heart.

I'm not sure your last quote was directed at me (KC96LSC) But I loved my interior. it was someone else saying they didn't like theirs. I had D-2 Lite Graphite. Thank you for the compliment on my exterior.

If it's any consolation.....I'll be "copying" your interior one day.
