Recently purchased mk vii and accidently locked the phone. Dopnt have the manual. how do I unlock phone?

well since were on the subject. I had the phone in mine as well. Actually, everything but the phone, i had a speaker mounted and a microphone, but nothing to dial from. Do those things still work, is it worth trying to find a phone, or should i just leave it unhooked like i have it.

Not too many companies provide analog cell phone service anymore but ask around to see if there is anyone local. I think it's probably a waste of time.

this is correct.....analog phone service is about phased out now. Your better off carrying a new phone on you.

I keep my phone in the trunk since I can't find any company that will hook it up. Out west I had it hooked up and it was great, about 4 years ago.I talked to LINCOLN and they said too bad. They said they did'nt use digital phones untill 2002.I called a lot of places with no luck, some had MM hookups.

I have a local guy who said he would convert the system to digital for about $150.

I'll see what I can do. I'll try to get to his store. Both of my Marks have the phone option. I've been thinking about doing it but the $150 could be spent on other more practical areas.

Although hands free phone is pretty practical.

I know a guy who will clone your bag phone to your Portable phone, as long as your portable phone does analog. That way you can have your mark VIII phone with your portable number. I have this setup in my pick-up trucks. One truck each has a bag phone, and both bag phones have the same number as my portable.
