my 96 town car

i tryed all different types of gas and i still have the same problem when the car shifts into overdrive i hear lots of pinging like thousand of marbles what can cause this and how do i corrected.... please help

I've heard the MAF sensor is the first place to start when this problem crops it's ugly head.
