97 STS cd changer problem

When I press display on the radio it reads cd1-cd12, but does not seem to be reading a discs. And when I press the left source button it says NO DISCS. The cd changer in the trunk seems to get power, so is the changer broken? No errors codes look to be showing if that helps. Thanks for any help in advance.

label side down for the changer to work i had that same problem when i first bought mine. clear side of disc facing up. also some clear burned cds will not play in the changer
